about
who am i
I am a Taiwanese-Brazilian-American (🇹🇼🇧🇷🇺🇸) musician and programmer. Currently a senior at _______ High School, residing in the United States of America.
why this site exists
For years I have been scribbling thoughts in paper journals or sticky notes that somehow always disappear the exact moment I need them.
This site is my notebook that will never be left on a train.
I have always been somewhat of an analog person, not really accompanying trends or being big on social media.
Then I found out about digital gardens, which are personal sites that are not built to go viral, but to slowly grow ideas in public, mostly for yourself.
That idea felt like coming home. So here we are (although my website isn’t purely a digital garden. read: what is this website?).
This site was founded on 00V13.
inspiration
Reece’s blog was the first “real” personal site I ever found. He writes about Tolkien one day and quantum spin the next, combining a conversational quality with detailed research. It proved to me that writing about whatever you are curious about today is more than enough.
Marius and the Merveilles webring taught me that a website can have soul without needing JavaScript frameworks or a million followers. Simple HTML plus a lot of personality is still undefeated.
date system
This site uses the Arvelies date system.
“The Arvelie calendar has 26 months of 14 days each. Each month has 2 weeks of 7 days, and each month’s name is one of the 26 letters of this alphabet. The 365th day of the year is the Year Day(+00), [followed] by the Leap Day(+01) on leap years. The year zero defines when the journaling begins.” – XXIIVV
my space
This is my tiny corner of the small web.
Pull up a chair, stay as long or as little as you’d like.
